Marginal Fidelity (2026)

Synthetic survey panels are often validated by matching aggregate answers to published surveys. Across six multiselect batteries from four survey organisations in three countries, this paper shows that marginal agreement is evidence about the elicitation contract, not about simulating individual respondents.
